Holiday Gift guide: Gifts for the DIY and Unique gift lover

I think we all know someone who either has everything or maybe they have limited space. Then again they just might like a gift that is more personalize or a tad unique. I thought I’d put together a list of some gift ideas that came to mind. 

DIY gifts

We all have a certain someone in our lives who loves a DIY gift. You don’t have to be super crafty to do this. Something as simple as a personalize gift basket will do. But if your up to the challenge or even a bit adventurous you may find these gift ideas fun.

Homemade Candles or Soap

These products are fairly easy to make. I’ve made my own candles for year. I will admit i cheat and reuse wax from old candles i already have. But this year I made soap for the first time. It may seem a bit daunting at first but it’s not as hard as you think it is. You can always find ways to make Candles or soap via online tutorials. You can also personalize an item for someone. Or if you have a digital cutting machine such as a Circut or a similar device you can create a gift for someone. You can also try your hand at glass etching or paint a gift. If you know how to sew you can also create a great gift for someone as well. The possibilities are endless if you think about it.

NOVICA is a great website. They have a variety of products from artisans around the world. I’ve shared about a few items I’ve reviewed from them in the past. I love the items I have. They are all well made. Novica offers a wide range of product from housewares to jewelry.  They work in association with National Geographic. 

Wind Passion

Wind Passion sells nautically inspired products. They have bracelets, keychains along with a few other accessories. Their items are handmade and offer a unique toutch to any wardrobe.

Other Unique gift ideas

If you know someone who is an animal lover you can always gift them a gift of a yearly membership to a local zoo or aquarium. If you have the means you can also sponsor an animal in their name. There are many different unique gift ideas some may require a bit more searching depending on the person and what they like. But in the end what matters is that your both happy with the result.
