Back In April, I shared about the Somerfield Berry Intense Deep Cleansing Shampoo & Conditioner Set. I was selected to review it thanks to 08 Liter USA. I was excited and thankful for the opportunity.

Overall I liked the product. I will admit I was thrown by the original price. At that time it retailed as a set for close to $80 or so. So I knew this would be way out of my normal budget.

You can see my initial review video below

As you saw I’d been using the product for a few days. I continued using it. I will admit like with most of my products I tend to switch things out every so often.

User Experience

I found that the Somerfield set did help my hair. But I also noticed that I thought the shampoo was a bit runny but I just figured it was because it had been shipped so may it had separated a bit. All in all, it did a good job of getting my hair clean. I didn’t feel that my hair was stripped. I also didn’t think it made my hair drier than it already was. With each use, I did find that my hair texture did improve. I felt it begin to smooth out an not feel so damaged. This may vary from user to user. Also may depend on the initial state of your hair when you being using the product.

I liked that it gave you a light lather and didn’t seem too sudsy. I liked that the conditioner was thick and coated my hair nicely. It rinsed evenly as well. Overall I thought the product worked well for me. I found that it gave my hair life again. One of the things I liked the best about the set was the pump tops. They were easy to use and didn’t jam or break.

Here’s an overview of the products again.

As the product states it does have a berry scent. It’s not too overwhelming or fake smelling. It’s subtle and soft. I liked that it didn’t leave you smelling like a bowl of fruit. I also like the overall consistency of the conditioner. You could feel it clinging to your hair but it didn’t leave any type of oily or greasy feeling. It also didn’t seem to weigh my hair down either. Even 3 days into the testing you can see my hair was still frizzy and dry but it did look a bit shinier.

Final Thoughts

Well, I’m almost at the end of the Somerfield Berry Intense Deep Cleansing Shampoo & Conditioner Set. I found that it did help improve my hair. As I mentioned above I did switch out products from time to time. But even when I switched back I noticed the shampoo and conditioner gave my hair life again. It did a great job at not drying out my hair more. It smoothed my hair and made it more manageable as I used it. Again this may vary from user to user.

Currently, the Somerfield Berry Intense Deep Cleansing Shampoo & Conditioner set sells for $49.95 USD on Amazon and Somerfield’s website You can also purchase them individually through Amazon for $34.95 USD Shampoo and $44.95 USD conditioner.

All in all, I found the product to be worth the cost. I still will admit it’s out of my usual haircare budge but for someone who’d like to splurge and try something different this may be an option.
