In my most recent Pinchme box, i was sent a sample of an Eva NYC hair care product. I’ve tried this brand in the past. You can read that post here.
The product
I was sent the 2 FL oz tube of the Therapy Session hair mask. The hair mas can be used as a daily conditioner or as a once-a-week hair treatment.
I tried it as a daily conditioner. I liked the the tube had enough product to use more then once. It can be used for all hair types.
You apply the product to wet hair and let it sit from 2 to 5 minutes. You rinse it out thoroughly. The tube states it will smooth, hydrate and deeply conditions your hair.

my experinece
So as I mentioned I used the hair mask as a daily conditioner. It’s a bit thick and a cream or white shade. Depending on your hair length you may need to test to see how much product works for you.
overall the hair mask is thick and clings to the wet hair. It works well into the hair. Yet since it does have Argan oil in it you feel a slight film on your hands.
I applied it from root to tip. I left it for what I thought was around 3 minutes then I rinsed my hair. You can leave it on for up to 5 minutes.
It rinsed well but again depending on how much you apply it make take time to remove it. I found that my hair did seem to cling together after it was rinsed.
After the first days use I wasn’t impressed with it. I still felt my ends were dry. The rest of my hair just seemed a bit frizzy. I used it for a few more days.
This was today’s result. My hair is shiny but I still feel the ends are dry.
I’ve been using the hair mask for around 6 days as of (12/7/2020). I still feel that it leaves a bit of a film on my hair.
final thoughts
Overall the EVA NYC Therapy session hair mask is a decent product. Is it for me? That’s still left to be determined. I think at times argan oil and my hair don’t get along. That being said I think I’ll finish off the sample.
I’m not holding out a lot of hope in seeing a difference. It’s nice and all but wasn’t something I’d say really improved my hair.
The price for the 2 FL oz tube is $6 USD via EVA NYC. I also found it at Amazon for a bit of a higher price.
The larger container can be found at various retailers. I also found it at Target for around $14.50 USD for the 16.9 FL oz container.
I can’t really say I was disappointed that this product didn’t work as well as I’d hoped yes and no. Yes because I was hoping it would help treat my dry ends. No because I had used a previous Eva NYC product and knew it might not be for my hair type.
