I thought I’d give you all an update on my Tolifo ring light. I’ve had it since 2018. This was a discounted purchase for a review item when I was still using Tomoson.com

I was excited to have a real ring light because it was going to help me with video lighting. I no longer had to reply on small desk lamps to light my videos and product reviews.

The set up was easy and fast. I liked that the stand is adjustable for your lighting needs.
The ring light (then) came with a phone holder and a makeup mirror. that fit in the hot shoe.
after 6 months of use
After about 6 months of use, I noticed that the light was starting to flicker on a higher light setting. I figured the dimmer knob had a faulty wire or some other issue.

I will be honest and say I was surprised that Tolifo never replied to my product inquiry email. But what can I do about it now.
The update
After nearly 6 years of use, the ring light is still working. I just don’t use it on the highest light setting to avoid flickering.
I’ve been using the ring light for videos on the lower light setting and it works fine without flashing or flickering.
The lighting temp knob still works without any issues.
The ring light is no longer sold on Amazon but I did find out that Tolifo does still sell them.
They have updated the ring light design as well. The stands aren’t included.
