I recently purchased a new humidifier.

I’ve had a few in the past but have ended up throwing them away because they either began to grow mold or they broke.

I bought one because my cat Olive is having respiratory issues and I was told that one might help her breathe a bit better. It would help me as well.

So I started my hunt for a humidifier. They sell so many different kinds. I remembered that the one I loved had a way to direct the mist stream. So I started to check those out.

I found quite a few I liked but didn’t to spend a lot if it was only going to be used for a short time. Also, I wanted something that would store easily when I was done using it.

I saw many different products that were on the more expensive side. I didn’t want something super cheap but I also didn’t want to spend $50 for something I was going to use a few days and then store it until I needed it again.

So I stumbled upon this humidifier from Peach Street.

Humidifier features

The humidifier fit my budget and was pretty simple. I liked that it holds up to 2.2 liters of water. it includes an auto shut-off when the water runs low. It also has a low water indicator light. It has an adjustable mist direction nozzle. The box includes an instruction booklet and a cleaning brush.

On the lowest setting, it gives off some good steam. On the highest setting, it’s a pretty strong stream jet. it’s quiet and the cool mist isn’t so heavy it leaves areas damp. I liked that the humidifier didn’t require a filter.

I used filtered water when filling the humidifier.

Olive wasn’t so sure what to think about it at first but it did help her breathe a bit better. Bear loved the mist coming out of it. I had to turn it off because he was trying to catch the mist.

Product note

I will note that there is a sticker that states not to add essential oils to the water tank. That being said one could assume the oils would cause damage to the rubber seals of the humidifier. It may also cause cracks or damage to the plastic.

Is this product right for everyone?

I don’t know if this type of humidifier is right for everyone. Many different kinds may serve a better purpose than others for some consumers. But this one is a decent price point and is very basic.
