Some shows are on Amazon Prime Video, BritBox, or Masterpiece Channel via Prime Video. Some may be featured on other streaming services as well. Some may be free or there might be a rental or viewing fee.

As an FYI Rakuten has some great discounts on BritBox and Max. You may have to search and activate the one for Max.

Drama Series

I’ve found many dramas that I love.

Here are a few suggestions.

Doc Martin

Doc Martain is a drama and a comedy show. It follows Doc Martin and the residents of a seaside village.

Endeavour

I watched this show when It was on PBS. I love that it’s set in the ’60s and follows Endeavour Morse and his partner Fred Thursday. It is based on characters from the Endeavour series of books by Colin Dexter.

Endeavour can be found via PBS (check your local stations and streaming app) or on Amazon Prime video.

Inspector Morse

Endeavour was the prequel to Inspector Morse. Inspector Morse follows Inspector Morse and his partner Lewis during their investigations of various crimes.

I’m currently watching the show on BritBox but it can be found via the BritBox channel on Amazon video.

Inspector Lynley Mysteries

I watched this show when it was on PBS years ago. I’m going to watch the full series on Britbox. The show follows Inspector Lynley and Heavers.

Some episodes were based on the Elizabeth George Novels

Vera

This is another show I like. It follows Vera and her team. It’s similar to Inspector Morse.

Comedies

Good Omens

Good Omens is a fun show. it has a good story line and the actors are entertaining. I love the chemistry between Michael Sheen and David Tennant. They do so well at portraying the Angle and Demon characters.

The show is partly based on the Good Omens book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

Keeping Up Appearances

This show is so funny. It follows Hyancinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) and her husband Richard. The show deals with day to day issues as well as showing more of Hyancinth’s family.
