Serta Perfect Sleeper Mattress: Restful sleep

I was able to test a free mattress from Serta back in 2023. Thanks to Try It Sampling and the brand for the experience.

I was happy to be claiming a new mattress because my 3-year-old mattress was starting to show signs of wear and tear. I noticed that I was having disruptive sleep. We won’t point out the fact that the cats sleep with me at times. Even with that, I was starting to have back aches.

I was glad to try the Serta Perfect sleeper mattress. I was also excited to upgrade my mattress size as well. I was able to claim a queen-size mattress. So good bye full-size bed. This was a plus for the cats too because Teddy is a bed hog. Don’t even get me started about Ziggy sharing the bed too.

The mattresses Arrival

The mattress was delivered in a timely fashion. I was notified before it was delivered and told a time frame.

Mattress set up

This Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress can be used with a box spring or alone if you have a platform-style bed frame.

I bought a metal box spring for this mattress.

The mattress has elastic bands sewn on each side of it for easy carrying and moving. They are vertical so they are easy to grab or slide your hand into.

The mattress is lighter than I expected. I still had my dad help me move it just to be safe. The mattress is one-sided. The flat bottom makes it easier to move around corners and down the hallway.

We placed it on the metal box spring base without an issue.

The mattress feel

Overall the mattress is firm but gives a bit. The mattress top has tucks that are surrounded by a traditional mattress top. The sides have a cording edge.

My first night’s sleep

Overall the mattress is firm but the second you lie down you notice the lumbar support. The firmness is comforting. My previous mattress was firm but I felt lopsided sleeping on it the first night. This mattress was the complete opposite. Your body feels cradled and level.

You also don’t feel like your sleeping on a rock.

I slept so soundly the first night on the mattress. It’s a bit odd after having a full-size bed for probably 30-plus years I have to get used to this larger mattress.

I can say this much the cats love it. I do too. I’ve been having some great sleep over the past 2 weeks.

motion control put to the test

This mattress offers motion control. This means if you share a bed your partner’s movements won’t disturb you. Well, I was trying to sleep last week and Ziggy decided he was going to give himself a good scratching. I can say the motion control works. The mattress vibrated a bit but nothing too bad.

The Serta Perfect Sleeper Bleu Moment mattress is very comfortable. it’s firm but not extra hard. When you lie down it supports your body well.

I’ve slept very well over the last few weeks that I’ve had the mattress set up.
