A few weeks back I shared about This Nature Box sample arrival in a box from Sample Source. This sample wasn’t a brand I was familiar with. From the name, I thought it was going to include some natural ingredients. It had coconut oil in it but most of it was rather full of filler.
Product Overview
From the packaging, I saw that the product is a simple body wash. It’s more of a gel formula. It’s a bit thick and will cling to your skin. The Coconut scent is a bit store and somewhat artificial in my opinion. I’ll get into more of that in the next section.
User Experience
I finally got around to trying this product on 5/29/2019. I found that once again it is a bit thicker consistency or a gel-like formula. Check out the slide show below to see what I’m talking about.
As you can see from the slides above the body wash is clear. The coconut scent is very strong. it fades when you begin to work the body wash on to your skin. The lather is a bit lackluster. I don’t use a shower pouf so i apply the product to my hand before applying it to my body. When I tried the shower gel in the shower I noticed that the coconut scent was overwhelming. I didn’t use much maybe a quarter size amount. The fact that it’s a gel-like consistency it clings to your skin. As you work it over damp skin it does seem to lather but as you saw in the picture of my hand it seems more like a soapy look.
When I rinsed my arms off i noticed that the body wash left an oily feel on my skin. Since it does seem to have coconut oil in it that may be why. It also had glycerin in it as well so that may have also been the case. I rinsed my arms off twice but still felt a slight oily residue. I was happy that the coconut scent faded as I rinsed the body wash off.
Final Thoughts
From my first impressions of this Nature Box, coconut body wash I will pass on purchasing a full-size product. I might use the rest of the product when I shave my legs. It is a decent product but I don’t feel that it’s for me. The big turn off for me was the scent and overall feel after I washed it off. I didn’t think it was very moisturizing.
