Not everyone needs to hear your phone

I don’t know about you but one of my biggest pet peeves with the advancement of smartphones is the fact that we use them everywhere.

I get that we all want to be connected or up to date on what’s going on but when you are out please be mindful of your surroundings. Not everyone wants to hear your phone call, video content, etc.

Speakerphone should be banned in some locations

I can’t stand the speakerphone when I am out. I can count the times I’ve gone to the grocery store, or pharmacy and had to hear people’s loud chats.

For me, it’s even worse because I always run into the ladies having chats in Spanish so I’m even more interested in hearing what’s going on.

Is it my business? No, but if you feel the need to share your entire conversation with someone in public that’s on you.

I’ve heard people use their speakerphone in many public locations even while standing in line at the bank. It’s even worse when people feel the need to yell into their phones. So you know they can’t keep the chat to a low whisper.

No one wants to hear your video content either

This is another one that bothers me. There’s nothing more annoying than when you are in line in a quiet environment and suddenly you hear some speakers blasting a how-to video or a comedy skit.

Case in point I was out today and this lady was watching videos on her phone. It wasn’t quiet either. She had the sound at a low to medium roar. She was watching or listening to something in Spanish I guess it was an advice program or something. As the line moved on she went on to a new topic which was a music video or some music. Then she finally settled on a political video that was in English.

She surprisingly turned that one down a bit.

But here’s my thought why not use an earbud or headphones? I get not everyone likes them but again it would help her enjoy her content without making the rest of us listen to it.
