With the weather warming up in many parts of the country, this means many of us will be spending more time outdoors.

If you have a patio, balcony, or outdoor space you may want to give it a bit of a revamp as the weather warms.

I thought I’d share a few tips that don’t have to break the bank.

Add a pop of color

You can add a new pop of color by adding some new flowers or shrubs. You can even add some colorful cacti.

You can change up your seat cushions if you have outdoor furniture.

I have a similar cushion to this Hampton Bay cushion. It’s durable and easy to clean. I also like that they have ties so they will stay on the chair.

Here’s a Bench cushion that might fit your needs as well.

You can also add an indoor outdoor area rug if you have the space for one.

Here’s another Hampton Bay product. This area rug is a lovely design.

If you like solid rugs here is one that you might like.

I have to add my favorite Waverly rug. I have this rug and it’s held up well after 5 years. I like that you can wash it as well.

Waverly Sun n Shade (Flamingo rug).

Upgrade your planters

With general sun exposure and weather changes many planters start to show signs of wear and tear.

If your planters are faded but still in good shape you can give them a new coat of paint.

You can use spray paint.

If you light bright colors you can use Teal, Blue, Red or any color you like.

You can even liven up some terra cotta pots by painting them or decorating them.

Add an umbrella

If you have patio furniture you can always add a new umbrella. Even if you don’t have a table you can find one to give you shade.

This 7-and-a-half-foot Sunglade umbrella looks nice. A stand is required.

Sunglade also has a 9 ft umbrella.

Repaint your patio furniture

If you have durable patio furniture that’s a bit weathered you can repaint it. Like with the planters you can give it a pop of color.

Add lighting

You can find some great mood or accent lights. That doesn’t break the bank. Better yet many are solar.

I love these solar string lights. They have bright light and work for a few hours.

Here are some fun torch lights.

Keeping with the torch theme these are lights with Blue Tooth speakers.

Which one of these ideas will you use?
