VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES®: Makes hanging items a breeze

Now that I have a workspace for myself. I was looking for a way to keep organized. I was also looking for hooks that I could use without having to make holes in the wall. You may be asking why? I don’t have drywall in my workspace so I’d basically be putting a nail into insulation so it wouldn’t really hold up. I do have studs but some of them would be a bit awkward for me to place artwork. I’d also have to stand there and find them.

Here’s what I mean from the explanation above.

So while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to hang in my workspace I added other things I already had such as a whiteboard and organized things on a shelf.

Once I got that all done I began my search for hanging hooks. I’d use 3M command hooks in the past. I didn’t mind them but for some reason, they tended to pop off the wall when the temperature cooled down.

Well, I happened to be at Home Depot one day and I came across a VELCRO BRAND® display. I’ve shared and used a few of their products in the past. I’m also part of their ambassador community. When I saw the VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES® I figured I’d give them a try. The ones I purchased were the small set of 4. They can were marketed for use in the kitchen but they can be used in various parts of the home.

Product Overview

The VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES® are easy to use and can be used on various surfaces.

According to the package you can use them on the following surfaces:

• Painted drywall
• Finished wood
• Glass
• metal
• Smooth tile

Setting up the VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES®

Installing the product is a breeze. It’s a quick and easy process. All you need to do is figure out where you’d like to place your HANGABLES. As I mentioned before these come in a variety of sizes and colors.

Since I was going to use my HANGABLE out in my workspace I figured I would hand my canvas print of Pal. Since I wanted to have it hang behind me when I sit in my chair it took me a bit to figure out how I wanted to place it.

If you’re like me you may want to use a reference point or marker to set where you’d like to place the HANGABLE.

I opted to use a paper towel and a piece of painters tape as my marker. Since I sit on a stool i wanted to make sure the canvas print would be higher up on the wall and that It would be seen in any photos or videos i take.

I used my empty stool as a reference in my second photo to show you in relation to the chair height.

Hanging VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES®

Once you have an idea of where you’d like to place your Hangable all you have to do is clean the wall and apply the adhesive backing. I cleaned my wall with a little rubbing alcohol. You may want to let the surface dry before applying the adhesive strip.

as you can see from the slideshow above the HANGABLE has ridges on the back that adhere to the VELCRO front side of the adhesive backing. The final photo shows the backing on the wall.

According to the package directions, it states to let the strip adhere for an hour. I left it overnight since I wasn’t in a big rush. I also wanted to make sure it was securely on the wall too.

Final Result

Once you feel the VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES® backing has adhered to the wall or surface long enough all you do is attach the hook. You can line it up and press it firmly into the VELCRO. It held quickly.

As you can see it help my canvas print with no issue. After I took this picture however I opted to move my canvas print. But I’ll still hang something else in its place. I figured I’d move Pal over to another area more towards the door. Either way, using these VELCRO BRAND® HANGABLES® is super easy.

From what I read removal should be just as easy as installation. All you do is remove the hook and peel the tab corner.
