Last year I was fortunate enough to test a shark steam mop. The product came with two mop pads. That was great but I suddenly realized I’d probably need to buy a few extra.

You could buy the manufactures replacement mop pads. Which seems to be pretty universal for several of the shark steam mop models. Yet you will need to make sure you know the steam mop model number before ordering.
These may be a bit more expensive versus off-brand or generic mop pads.
For example, the mop pad for the steamer I have would run around $20 USD from Target.
That’s just for one pad. Shark has the standard (non-scrubbing) mop head for around 12 USD.
That’s fine but it’s only one.

Always make sure you are purchasing the correct replacement mop pad for your steam mop. There are a few different types sold by Shark as well as head styles.

I’ve purchased two sets of replacement mop pads via Amazon.
one was a two-pack and the other was a four-pack.
Granted these generic mop heads may cut corners in products. They may not be as plush or offer a secure closure design. Some may even be a bit smaller than the original mop head.
But if you are on a budget and interesting in trying a generic product here’s my suggestions.
Flammi Steam Scrub Mop Pad
I tried one of these mop pads last week. I liked it because it fit the mop head perfectly. It’s not as fluffy or plush as the original Shark pad. But I think it gave me better cleaning results. The mop head is quilted on the inside and has a hook and loop style closure to secure it into place. They are also double-sided for easier cleaning.
The pads also offer a scrubber pattern that is woven throughout the pad. It cleaned well and washed well.
These are sold in a 2 pack. The price currently is around $17 USD but the price may vary.
BIHARNT 4 Pack Replacement Steaming Mop Pads
I haven’t tried these yet but I did find that the pads are a bit thicker than the previous alternative. They also have a quilted inside. They also have the hook and loop closure and the integrated scrubber threads. They are also double-sided.

Which do you prefer name brand replacement accessories or generics?
For me the generic was a better deal.
