I know many of us are going to stress about today. It’s election day after all. I’m not going to bash either side I’m just saying in the general sense. We are all a bit worried about how things will play out.
It doesn’t matter if you voted in person or by mail or even dropped off your ballot. We will all be wondering what the outcome will be.
So instead of freaking out and focusing on the numbers try to focus on the good.
I thought I’d give you all some advice on how to make the day a bit less stressful.
think of the things you love
This is a simple one. It’s a bit self explanatory too. just think of all the things you love. That usually lowers your stress.
don’t be glued to the news
Again this will freak anyone out. Just catch up on what’s important. I for one probably will just check the news online so i don’t have to see political coverage for the day.
Do something you love
This doesn’t matter if it’s a craft, read, listening to music that’s up to you. It’s another way to help you not focus on the stress of the day or the worry that your political party may be losing.
I for one will spend the time streaming music when I’m done an appointment today. I’ll probably spend some time streaming TV too.
Hug your pet
If you have a pet hugging them or even petting them can help you destress. If you have a dog maybe take them out for a walk if it’s possible.
all i can say is don’t freak out
for me the biggest thing today is to not freak out. I think many of us who aren’t happy with the way things are going in the country are trying to remain calm. We are hoping for the best.
