I’d tried Cetaphil in the past but wasn’t sure if I liked it. I recently was sent a free sample product thanks to Sampler.

The product

I was sent a smaller (sample/travel) size Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion. The bottle had enough product to try it for a few days or longer depending on how much you applied.

I had tried other Cetaphil products in the past such as the facial cleanser but I don’t think I’d tried the moisturizer. I liked that the bottle I was sent was at least large enough to use more than twice.

The moisturizer was pretty straightforward. It can be used by all skin types and is formulated for sensitive skin as well.

You can apply the moisturizer to your face and body daily.

Ingredients (source Cetaphil)

Water, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Panthenol, Niacinamide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dimethicone, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Pantolactone, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Citric Acid

User experience

The moisturizer is a basic white shade. The is on the thin to medium viscosity. This may vary by product and weather conditions. The lotion is a standard white shade. The lotion has no scent at all.

The lotion glides well over the skin and it doesn’t leave you feeling oily or greasy. You may have a light sheen to the skin after application.

I liked the texture. It’s smooth and absorbs well. The lotion leaves a hydrating layer on the skin. You don’t feel tacky or sticky after application either.

The lotion doesn’t leave a white cast or pill. I didn’t have any adverse reactions to this product.

How long does the hydration last?

I found for me it varies and how much product is applied. I liked that the lotion absorbs quickly into the skin. When applied to a damp face at night I wake up with my face still feeling hydrated.

This can also be said for my body as well. I liked that it kept my elbows and knees hydrated without feeling too slick.

I love that it’s a 2 in 1

I love that you can use it on your face and your body. I found that it offered the same hydration on my face as well as my body.

I liked that even in 90-plus degree heat the product absorbed into my skin and kept it hydrated. I didn’t feel that I had dry patches on my legs or on my face.
