A few weeks ago I saw a sample for a product named Boomerang. From what i could tell from the brief product description was that it could help rehydrate you. Well me being me I had forgotten all about the sample until the box arrived in the mail back in late April (2020). So I opened the box to make sure the glass bottles weren’t broken. I refrigerated one just to see what it tasted like.

Today I finally got around to trying it. It’s a unique flavor but i didn’t find it to be too harsh.

the product

From the box it states that you can drink one bottle after having your last drink of the night. You can have it before bed. From what I understood it may help you rehydrate after a late night. Just to clarify this isn’t going to sober you up nor will it cure your hangover. It also isn’t going to stop a hangover either. You can read more about how it works here.

So Boomerang is packed full of Vitamin B and C along with Curcumin and prickly pear just to name a few. It also has electrolytes.

User experience

As I stated earlier I tried one bottle earlier. I haven’t been drinking but I figured I’d try it out since I needed to try it. I had it after lunch I don’t know if that matters. But I shook the bottle prior to opening it.

The bottle was easy to open you twist the cap until you break the seal. I opted to drink it from a glass so I could share what the drink looks like.

According to the bottle it’s tropical flavor. It’s bright orange which isn’t to surprising since it does have curcumin in it.

I will admit it did have a slight tropical fruit flavor but i thought the prickly pear and the curcumin sort of muted it a bit. I would also say you should shake the bottle well before opening it.

It wasn’t bitter (to me anyway) or too spicy. But you do notice the bite of the curcumin but the prickly pear added some natural sweetness. It has a unique scent also due to the meld of flavors. But I liked it. I can see how it may help with indigestion or possibly sooth an upset stomach.

Final thoughts

I would say that Boomerang drink is different. It’s a bit hard to classify. Since it may be a hydrating drink or maybe even a wellness drink do to the vitamins in it. But I would think either way it does give you a boost.

As far as the taste it may be a bit harsh for some. For me I didn’t mind it. I could see mixing this into juice to ease the taste if you find it too bitter. I do think it’s probably best chilled. I don’t really know if i would buy it often but it’s reasonably priced.

The box of 4 bottles retails currently (5/20/2020 for $20.62 USD. Boomerang also offers a subscribe and save option as well. If you go this route the box will be $14.43 USD for the box of 4 bottles.

Thanks to Boomerang for the free sample. You can still request samples by visiting the site.
