A few weeks ago I was rearranging my room and figured I’d buy a printer cart. I looked at a few and finally found one I liked.
It’s a three-shelf cart wide enough for my larger Epson ET-3760 and HP Office Jet 5740.
I found one on Amazon that I liked.
When it arrived
The cart arrived in a decent size box. It was easy to open and once I removed all the pieces I found it had an instruction sheet.
The directions were stapled together and had a how-to-assemble diagram along with the supplies included in the box list.
Everything arrived without any damage.
Everything is numbered
All of the items in the box were numbered. The bags had letters on them. The nice thing was that the box included a free screwdriver. So that’s a plus if you don’t have one on hand.
Here’s what was included in the box:
- Printer cart shelves (3)
- a back panel slat (1)
- Various hardware (screws,
- wheels with locks
- standard fixed foot pads
- side rails/legs (2)
- screwdriver (1)
Assembling the printer cart takes some patience because you have to check the assembly chart and find the right screws.
The pieces include pre-drilled holes. The support beams and legs have holes as well.
Assembly is quick once you get the hang of it. I will say that when you are attaching the legs to the base pieces you may need someone to hold them together or support the pieces against something.
The screws are easy to install and tighten well with the included screwdriver.
Don’t over-tighten the screws
As with any screw take care not to tighten the screws too much because you can damage or strip the screw head.
Assembly suggestions
I assembled the cart frame first then lined up the shelves. I tightened the screws fully on the shelves once I was done. I attached the wheels last. You can use the wheels or the foot pads.
It’s sturdy
The cart is pretty sturdy. According to the Amazon listing the top shelf can hold up to 80 lbs while the other two can hold up to 100 lbs each.
It’s wide enough to hold a large multi-function printer and still have some room on either side. I was able to place my Epson ET-3760 on a shelf I had and I have extra room under it.
The wheels that are included have locks on them so you can have added security that your cart won’t roll away when you are using your printer.

Final thoughts and Where to buy
Final thoughts
Overall this printer cart fits my needs and space well. I liked that I could move it easily thanks to the wheels. The wheels are sturdy and don’t seem like they will buckle easily. The shelves are durable and hold a printer well. There isn’t any noticeable shaking or jiggling when the printer is printing either.
I like the shelf heights because it’s high enough to use a multi-function printer with ease.
The bottom shelf can be used for extra storage.
Where to buy
