Much like speaker phones, I’ve noticed more and more people having conversations in their cars. I know many newer car models offer integrated Bluetooth capabilities This feature allows you to connect to your phone.
This again would give you a hands-free calling experience but it can also be a bit of an awkward situation in public.
chat I’ve encountered when out and about
I didn’t think much about the in-car Bluetooth calling until a recent visit to a store. I was waiting in the car and I suddenly hear a girl say “Don’t be stupid.” I was like what the? and looked around.
It took me a minute to realize the person was in their car on the phone. I couldn’t make out the full conversation but I did hear the caller say something about Unicorns. I had to laugh.
Another day I went to the market and as I was loading my groceries into the car I could hear a lady saying in Spanish “Hold on let me find the recipe.” She added, “Made sure you make it just like I tell you if not it’s not going to turn out right.” She proceeded to read off her recipe.
I had to laugh at that one.
The last call I heard was on a recent trip to Target. The person was in the car and I suddenly heard a woman shout “You know that’s a lie” or something like that. It startled me because the person in the car didn’t respond to them but the woman kept talking.
I couldn’t tell if they were having an argument or if they were talking about someone’s relationship.
This has its pros and cons
As with many types of advanced car features, this may have its pros and cons. You are hands-free to drive which is good. Yet it can also be a bit odd or even awkward for those around you.
I’m not going to lie I’m nosey so at times I’d like to hear more of the story. But again it can be a bit odd when you hear “Hey, what are you doing?” That would make anyone look around.
But I guess it’s up to you
I guess it’s up to you to decide what you think is right or wrong it’s your car and your conversation.
