A few days ago I was invited to apply for a new Tomoson product promo by Foy Foods featuring their organic wheat grass powder. Honestly I was curious to see what it would taste like. I had tried fresh wheat grass and honestly it I didn’t enjoy it very much. It has a bit of a bitter taste and an awful after taste In my opinion anyway. I was actually really excited when I was sent the approval email. Well the Yae! organic wheat grass arrvied today I was eager to try it.Β

After I opened the package I noticed an earthy scent with a touch of sweet. The Yae! Organic Wheat Grass came in a resealable bag and included it’s own scoop. According to Foy Foods you can use a whole scoop if you’d like or you can adjust the amount depending on how you will be using it. You can use it in a smoothie, juice, water or just about anything else you’d like. I tried it this morning in a glass of water. I used not even a third of a scoop full. If you have lumps in the powder the best way to break them up is with a small whisk or with a milk frother if you have one. I assume a blender will do the trick also if you are using it in a smoothie or a blended juice. I added the powder first then some water. Using the battery operated milk frother I blended it until it looked smooth. Then I added more water. I made enough to share with my parents. My mom like me was eager to try it. My dad just looked at funny.Β

The taste test really made an impression on me. It wasn’t bitter or chalky. Nor was it awful tasting. It was smooth with a hint of sweet. My parents also enjoyed it. I will advise that you drink it as soon as you make it. If left sitting to long it can become a bit bitter. All in all it was very good. I think I will try it tomorrow with some juice to see how well it blends with other flavors. According to the manufacture it is a source of many vitamins and minerals. It is also organic, vegan, and GMO free. For more information please visit the links below.
