Disclaimer:Β I was sent a free advance reader copy for agreeing to post my honest review.
Iβm an avid reader and I enjoy reading various types of fiction. So when I came across this posting on Tomoson.comΒ For Writers of the Future Vol. 33 I figured Iβd apply. I like short stories and the cover caught my eye. Well, the book arrived this week. I was sent a free advance reader copy for agreeing to post my honest review.Β
Honestly, I havenβt gotten very far into the book but I can say the two stories I have read have kept my attention and were easy to follow. I found the font to be a decent size along with the quality of the book overall is good.
I did like that most of the stories have introductions to the authors and illustrators. I counted 16 stories in the copy I was sent have on illustration. They are in black and white.
These pictures were taken at random to show the introduction pages and illustrations
The one thing that I did find about this book is a variation of themes. As I mentioned before Iβve only read two stories so far but the two that I have read vary greatly.Β
What I mean by this is that they are based on Sci-Fi or Fantasy but they arenβt too out there in a sense. The open story Moonlight OneΒ is based on the moon of course hence the title. But it also gives you a captivating take on relationships. Thatβs my opinion anyway.
The second story I read last night was The Armor Embrace. Β This one is a bit more fantasy in my opinion. I did understand the theme of feeling isolated even with advance technology. Again this is my own view of the author’s theme. I enjoyed it very much and will enjoy finishing up this book.Β
