Update 11/14/2022: Post updated to add a video review.
I was recently selected to try a Well People product thanks to Bzzagent. I’d never tried anything from well people so I was interested in seeing how this would work out.
The product arrived and I started to use it. Overall the Dewy Juice Hydrating Aloe Essence is good but for me, it had some drawbacks.
The product
Dewy Juice Hydrating Aloe Essence is a gel-like toner. it includes aloe and rose water just to name a few ingredients.
The bottle is 3.48 fl oz. it’s a slim design and easy to hold. It’s glass. The bottle comes with a stopper(see IG post images) so you will need to remove it before using it.
The stopper is easy to remove you just pull it upward. The lid is easy to remove and screw back on.The product is dispensed in a few drops.
you can use the product twice daily morning and evening. You can apply it to cleansed skin and follow up with your favorite moisturizer or face oil or serum.
You apply 2 to 3 drops into your hands then apply it to your face and neck. The essence is thick yet once warmed it tends to become a bit looser.
According to Well People, the product is for all skin types.
It is also vegan, clean, and cruelty-free.
Well People also states this on their website:
All Well People products are free from parabens, avobenzone, oxybenzone, GMOs, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic fragrance, phenoxyethanol, dimethicone, petrolatum, PEG, propylene glycol, mineral oil, talc, nanoparticles, as well as thousands of other potentially toxic ingredients.

the product consistency
The essence has body to it but is also a bit runny. This may change in different temperatures. Being that during my testing my area of the US is experiencing normal 90 to 100-degree F heat.
Overall the product dispenses well. It can be easy to overdo it since the product is so fluid.
The essence is clear.
my user experience
So I’ve been using the product for about a week. I like it but it does have some drawbacks for me.
Let’s start with the pro, shall we.
[su_list icon=”icon: paw” indent=”1″]
- alight weight
- not sticky or tacky once dry
- quick absorbing
[/su_list]
It also didn’t have any reactions or issues with my existing skincare products. I didn’t have any issues with my moisturizer separating or pilling.
I also didn’t have any skin redness or irritation.
The product didn’t dry and flake off the skin either. It absorbs like water.
Here are the drawbacks:
The rose water is very strong. I can have reactions to rose water but thankfully this time I didn’t. I just felt the scent was a bit too strong. it does fade but for people who are sensitive to scents or rose water, you may want to spot test first.
I also felt it didn’t hydrate as well as it could have. Granted we are in the middle of summer where you sweat a lot but I still had dry skin.
I felt it hydrated best when applied to damp skin. I also thought that a moisturizer is essential to help lock in the moisture.
I also noticed that the rose water gave me sun sensitivity one day I was out running errands. I don’t know if it was just the heat or if it did give me a bit of a red face.
Final thoughts
The product works as promised. This will depend on your usage and your skin type. I liked its gel-like consistency and how quickly it absorbed into my skin. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the rose water scent. It was a bit too strong for me.
I could see this to be very refreshing if you use it cold. I think I’ll probably use this more at night than during my morning routine. But it did nourish and hydrate my skin.
Dewy Juice Hydrating Aloe Essence is reasonably priced and can be found online and at select retailers.
It retails for around $20 USD (Price may vary by retailer)
