A few weeks ago I shared that I had won a prize from an Instagram giveaway. I won Jmella lime and basil shampoo and conditioner.
Product update
Overall the shampoo and conditioner work well together. I didn’t have any scalp irritation or itching. Since the products do contain citrus the bottles state to keep them out of direct sunlight.
If you are someone who has a sensitivity to citrus you may want to spot test to make sure you don’t have any adverse reactions.
The shampoo is clear and has a decent lather. They are free from parabens and other chemicals. (according to the label)
You can check out my video review below.
The conditioner is a tad thicker but clings to the hair well it’s a typical white color. Both the conditioner and shampoo rinse out well. They leave your hair feeling softer and possibly add volume. The scent is appealing and not too harsh. It mellows once your hair starts to dry. Once my hair dried I noticed it had more bounce and wasn’t weighed down.
I didn’t notice any real issues with my hair after using the products. I didn’t have any matting or any major knots as my hair dried. This result may vary by user.
I’ve noticed that even with sun exposure my hair didn’t feel excessively dry or damaged after using this product during higher heat days (over 90 degrees F.)
I will continue to use the product until I finish it.
