I had a new product arrive today thanks to Bzzagent. I was selected to review a product from Imusa. This brand has a variety of cookware, home, and kitchen products as well as appliances.
Bzzagent gave us a selection of products to choose from. I was sent an 11-inch carbon steel nonstick comal.
A comal is used to warm tortillas on the stove if you don’t warm them in a pan or directly on the fire.
The comal has 2 handles.
This comal is made to be used on medium to medium-low heat. It heats up quickly and stays warm after the burn is turned off.
It’s easy to clean all you need to do is wash it with soapy water and a sponge. You will need to wait for it cool prior to washing it so it doesn’t crack.
I washed it prior to testing it out. The handles do get hot when the comal is on the stove. You can turn your tortillas with a non-stick spatula or by hand. I did the latter.
