This Spiced Skincare face scrub was something that arrived in a box I was able to purchase for $10 from Poshly. I’d never tried Spiced Skincare before but I had seen a few posts people had shared via social media.

Product overview

The Original Cinnamon Face Scrub is a unique product. It has cinnamon in it. According to Spiced Skincare it’s stated to help boost collagen production. It may also help improve fine lines and wrinkles.

You can apply a dime-size amount onto a damp face and neck. You rub it in a circular motion. You rinse it off with warm water. You can use it alone or follow up with Spiced Skincare The Original Cinnamon Face Mask

The scrub is a cinnamon color and has a light scent of cinnamon and brown sugar. I found as i applied it i noted a honey scent as well.

It’s thick but not hard to scoop. I would suggest using a spatula or spoon that way you don’t cross contaminate the face scrub.

I also found that it wasn’t gritty to the touch it was a smooth paste like consistency.

User experience

Since this was my first time trying this face scrub i tried to use it sparingly. I read the instructions on the jar. I wet my face and applied a bit at a time. I only used the amount i had scooped out with the spatula.

I dabbed a bit onto my face before working it outward. As i spread it across my face I didn’t feel like it was irritating. I noticed the brown sugar scent as well as a hint of honey. I didn’t feel like it was too rough on my skin.

You do notice the darker pigment of the scrub as you fully apply it to your skin. I worked it into my skin a bit more and probably wore it for about a minute or two. Again since this was my first time using the product I wondered how my skin would react.

You can rinse your face with warm water. I would suggest you use a wash cloth to make sure you remove all of the scrub. I liked that it rinsed well.

When I washed my hands after applying the scrub I noticed it rinsed clean. But again you may want to use a wash cloth to make sure you remove all of it from your face and neck.

I liked that the face scrub rinsed clean. It didn’t stain my skin or skin. It was easy to remove and didn’t leave my face red or irritated.

Final thoughts

Overall I liked the Spiced Skincare The Original Cinnamon Face Scrub. It was very easy to use. It didn’t leave my face red or irritated. It also didn’t feel gritty. My face was smooth and soft after using it.

I liked that it didn’t stain the skin. It rinsed off well. Again depending on how much you apply, you may need to use a washcloth to remove it all. The scent was pleasant and calming. You notice the cinnamon and brown sugar. I also noticed hints of honey as well.

Now let’s get to the price. The 2.0 oz jar retails for $25 USD. It can be found at the brand’s website. I think this is worth the price.

Spiced Skincare doesn’t state how often you can use the product but I would say try it once a week and then go from there. You can also reach out to Spiced Skincare and ask as well.

I was very happy with the product and the results.
