I’ve purchased other products from Skin2Spirit to read about them click here and hereΒ

This is the first organic lip gloss I have reviewed. So far I like it. I’ve been wearing it most of the morning. It arrived a little before 10 a.m. (PDT) I applied it and found that it glides well over my lips and didn’t glob up on the wand.

So as you see in the image above the lip gloss arrives in a cute little carrying pouch. The gloss is sold in a total of 7 colors. The color I purchased happened to be Merlot. The other colors range from a nude color to pinks, a red and even a purplish color.Β

Once I removed the plastic shrink wrap i was able to open the tube. So as you see the wand is a good size as is the applicator end. The color to me to be even. The gloss consistency was just right not too thick or too thin. Like with everything this may vary depending on temperature and climate.Β

So i did a test swatch on my hand and found that it was easy to apply and it came off rather easily when i wiped it clean. I didn’t notice any staining or smudges.

I applied it both ways I first applied it as a standard lip gloss and wore it for most of the morning as I mentioned. After I had lunch I applied a standard lipstick and added the lip gloss as an overlay.Β

So this was the first test with just the lip gloss on it’s own. The color to me is perfect. it gives my lips color with out being too shiny or too shimmery. It also added a hydrating effect (I felt) to my lips. After I applied the gloss i noticed a subtle scent of cocoa butter. The gloss didn’t glob up on my lips nor was it sticky like some other commercial products I have used in the pat. I also noticed the gloss didn’t have an unusual smell. Again, to me it smells like cocoa butter.Β

This picture was one i took with the lip gloss as an overlay for a standard lipstick. As you can see the lipstick i used was a pink shade. The lip gloss gave it a bit of a shimmer effect. It also made the lipstick stand out more I felt. So all in all i was very happy with the product. I will get a lot of use out of it.Β
