A while back I was sent a product on behalf of Scotch and 3M for reviewing purposes. I always enjoy trying these products because for me they are always useful. This tape dispenser was no different.
The Product
This tape dispenser can be clamped to a surface and also twists and rotates up and down. It’s made for a standard Scotch Magic Tape roll. The spring clamp is easy to use and fits well on thin or wider surfaces.
User Experience
So far I’ve liked the product very much. You can clamp it to a desk or a shelf. The clamp didn’t seem to damage or mar my shelf or desk.
The clamp can be used on a surface up to 1.25 inches thick.
The dispenser can be twisted left or right or up and down. It rotates 360 horizontally and 180 degrees vertically.
The teeth on the end of the dispenser worked well and cut the tape quickly. I liked that they were metal.
Final Thoughts
Overall this product was great. I liked that it’s easy to use and you can purchase replacement tape rolls as well. This would work well for someone who does papercrafts or wraps gifts often. As we know nothing is worse than losing tape when you need to use it. I liked that you can clamp it to a surface which keeps it within reach when needed. You can also rotate it to fit your space.
I would love Scotch and 3M to make one of these for packing tape.
Now let’s talk about price. From what I saw it ranges around $7 USD Prices may vary by retailer. Currently, I’ve only found it in Gray. It may be sold in another color but you’ll have to check. Thanks again to Scotch and 3M for this great product.
