Did you know that Rustoleum makes a comfort grip for spray paint cans? You may be asking what a comfort grip is. Well, it’s a trigger spray-style cap you can add to your spray paint cans to use it more comfortably.
I had purchased one of these a while ago and didn’t get around to using it until recently.
I was also gifted one thanks to Rustoleum’s creator community last year.
The product
The comfort grip is a durable plastic that has a trigger spray and two plastic grips that you can pinch open to place over the spray paint can nozzle.
The purpose of the comfort grip is to help ease fatigue when using spray paint. It also helps keep your hands a bit cleaner.
How to attach it to the can
You have to line up the comfort grip with the spray nozzle. Make sure the spray nozzle is pointing outward and then you squeeze/ pinch the lower levelers on the comfort grip and slide it onto the spray paint can. You can twist it to adjust it.
Using the Comfort Grip
I used the comfort grip recently when I repainted my address numbers on the curb. I liked that it’s lightweight and easy to use.
the trigger handle is easy to press and doesn’t pinch your hand. It doesn’t feel cheap either.
I will admit I did have a mishap and accidentally moved the comfort grip and sprayed the inside black. But aside from that I was very happy with the product.
Who is this for?
This can be used by anyone. If you tend to get finger cramps when using spray paint. If you are someone who has other hand or finger issues this would work well too.
I liked that it was lightweight and easy to use. It didn’t give me hand strain nor did it pinch my hand when pressing the trigger.

As a whole Rustoleum comfort grip is a game changer. it helps reduce hand fatigue and hand cramps if you’re someone who uses spray paint often. Even if you don’t it helps give you greater control of your spray paint.
I’m glad I have more than one of these. They come in handy. They are lightweight and seem durable.
Where to buy
You can find these at various retailers (in-store or online.) I found the comfort grip online at Amazon and Home Depot (also in-store).
