It seems like i bought a lot of makeup this year. Some products I feel in love with others weren’t so great. But like usual it’s trial and error. Here’s the ones I did love.
Primers
I have the sample size of this product. I loved it. I will suggest you use sunscreen with it because it does have a sunburn alert on the package. I loved how it gives you a nice glow. Depending on the light or where you place it. You can also use it as a highlighter too.
I was very happy with this primer. I’ve worn it during the summer months and in hot concert venues and it held up well. I also liked how it let my skin breath I didn’t feel like I was wearing a mask. It also didn’t irritate my skin. It does have a slight silicone smell to it but it fades quickly.
Setting Powder
This setting powder works well for me. It blends well with my foundation. I haven’t noticed any white cast to my skin either. Overall the only con i have with this product is that it’s very dusty.
Concealer and Foundation
This concealer worked well for me. I liked that it stayed in place and blended well. I’d worn it during the summer and in hot environments and it seemed to hold up well.
I used this product for a while and I loved it. I did find that it can be a bit dark for some people so you may want to buy a shade lighter if it oxides. I found the coverage is good for me. I’ve used Covergirl for years because to me it’s been one of the brands that seems to color match me the best. I’ve used this product once again during hot summer days and in hot concert venues and it’s held up well. I do look a bit shiny but my face isn’t completely melted.
I also like this one as well
I actually use shade M7 Soft Honey but i think i should have gone a shade up. It blends well and seems to stay in place. I’ll have a full review on this product and a few others after new year. Overall it’s a good coverage and holds up well in the heat.
Highlighters
This highlighter is unique. i’ve used it as a liquid eye shadow or as a base for a shadow. I’ve also used it as a highlighter. It’s very creamy and a small amount goes a long way. I know I will get more use out of it come summer time again.
This was a product I was given in an Instagram win earlier this year. I used it recently and I loved it. The holographic effect is stunning in the right light. The overall pigment is great as well.

you can see the purplish sheen on my cheek. It’s quite lovely in the right light.
Blush
I’ve fallen in love with BH Cosmetics. Their products are high quality and long lasting. I’ve worn this blush for up to 12 hours in warm temps and it stays on.
