Since I started with a mix of products I figured I’d end with one too. These are all products I was impressed with.

Nail products

I was gifted and purchased a fair amount of nail products this year.

Julep

I”ve used all of these Julep products except for the glass nail file. I loved all of them. I’ve also used a few of their polishes and found them high quality as well. You can visit the video on my You Tube channel to view the full list of links to all the products.

Dashing Diva Nails

I was pleasantly surprised by these press on nails. They lasted about a week and fit my needs perfectly. They can be trimmed. They are however a one time use product.

The pattern matched a dress I own perfectly.

Born Pretty

This series of nail polish is stunning. It offers a holographic effect. Depending on which way the light hits your nails is what color shows. I purchased two shades Aurora Borealis and The Gravity. One is a bit more of a blue shade the other is more greenish. You can also use a magnet as the polish sets to create a design. It is suggested you use a black base coat but you can use this product alone or with any dark color shade as the base. You can check out the Instagram post to see one of the colors. You may also like this set as well.

Other items

Mighty Patch

I love this product. Hero Cosmetics has released a new invisible patch as well. If you have a pimple and it has a head on it this works wonders. If you’re like me it also keeps you from poking or picking at it. You can wear it for up to 6 hours. I didn’t have any adverse reactions.

Molds and craft add ons

This mold is lovely for baking or soap making. Maybe even candle making as well. It’s one mold and it’s in the shape of various flowers. I found it worked great for my soap project.

These man made hearts came in handy for a choker I made recently. They come all ready to use. This set has two sizes 10 pieces 16 mm (0.63 inch) stone pendants and 10 pieces 20 mm (0.79 inch) (source Amazon seller page).
They are very well made. They would be great for any quick craft project ideas. See my finished choker here

Turntables

This year I bought a turntable. Here’s two I purchased that I liked. They both had their pros and cons but i’ll get to that in a second.

I purchased this Victrola turntable back in late June. I liked that it had built in speaker. i also liked that it included 3 needles in total. The one which was installed and two extra ones in the box. The size is compact and you can carry it around. It includes a power adapter. You can also connect it to a BlueTooth enabled device but you can only use the speakers of the player. It also includes a record adapter and has 3 speed settings.

This turntable I purchased a few weeks back. it’s similar to the Victrola but it includes a USB port and can be plugged into an addition speaker if you have the proper outputs. It also came with a needle installed. It also allows you to connect a USB device so you can transfer a record to MP3 formate. Overall it’s got great sound. It also has 3 speeds and a record adapter for smaller records.

Well that’s all the things that came to mind for my favorites of 2018. I hope you all found some new products to look into. Have a great rest of your day.
