To be honest I always wondered if expandable hoses worked. When I saw the promotion offered by Ohuhu on Tomoson.com I figured I’d apply. What could it hurt at least I would learn if they worked or not. Well today I got my answer. They do work. This neat little light weight hose is made of a durable material. As and added bonus it even came with a 8 spray pattern nozzle. The nozzle is also a pretty durable.
The thing I liked the most was that the ends were made of metal and not plastic. Some of the infomercial brand expandable hoses had plastic couplings which made them weak. I had a friend tell me a certain infomercial brand expandable hose that would come apart at the coupling after a few uses. This one seems to be very well made so far.
It connects like any other hose. If you follow the instructions correctly it should offer a water tight seal. I found that it connected easily with out any issues. Now since the hose has a on/off valve end you may want to connect nozzle that was provided in the box.
It expands with in seconds. You will need to keep the valve in the off position. Once the hose is fully expanded you can open it and start watering. I like the overall design because it goes from 17 feet to a full 50 feet. I was able to pull it all the way down my drive way over to the end of the sidewalk. The only advice I have is not to over extend the hose by tugging it to try to get a little more length out of it. This way damage the coupling.

All in all for the few minutes I played with the hose it worked great This would be a great gift for anyone who needs alight weight hose for occasional use. It would also be good for a senior or anyone who has limited mobility because you don’t have to drag around a heavy hose. It would also be great for kids. This would be perfect for anyone who lives in an apartment or a condo or anyone who has a container garden.
