A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be sent a free sample from Smiley 360 and Sleepnumber. I had been approved for a Smiley 360 mission that was sponsored by Sleepnumber. I was very excited. I’d heard great things about Sleepnumber but I never tried their products before.
Well, when the Comfortfit Classic pillow arrived it came with a storage bag as you can see. it is a nice breathable storage bag.
I can say that the first thing I notice we I removed the pillow from its storage bag was that it has a bit of weight to it. I had held other memory foam pillows but never a memory foam down alternative pillow.
I noticed also that it held it’s shaped. I also felt that if I stood it on end it would want to fold forward. I think they may have to do with the way the pillow contents settled during shipping possibly.
Either way, I was impressed by the product from the start. I loved the quilted outer layer. it has a nice textured weave. I ran my hands over it and felt it’s plush soft quality.
The piping along the pillow edges add a nice touch to the overall aesthetic. It is well constructed and seems like it will be long-lasting.
According to Sleepnumber’s website, the Comfortfit Classic pillow is suggested for stomach and back sleepers.
The Comfortfit pillow is also sold in two other types Curved and Ultimate.
I was happy the pillow fit my standard pillowcase. it is sold in two sizes standard and King.
First usage impressions-
To be honest I’d never used a memory foam with down-alternative pillow so for me it was a bit of an adjustment I can say that after my first night’s sleep I did notice that my neck didn’t hurt so much.
As the days went on I could instantly tell the difference between my standard polyfill pillow to the Sleepnumber pillow. I found that when I slept on my side the Comforfotfit Classic pillow cradled my head and neck.
It also felt to me that it kept my neck aligned and I didn’t feel like it was too high or too low. I don’t know about anyone else but I’m typically an all positions sleeper. This being said I alternate from position to position through the night. I tend to favor sleeping on my stomach.
That being the case I noticed that I had less stress once again on my neck when using this pillow.
So, in short, I loved the Comfortfit Classic pillow.
The only con I found is that it isn’t washable. But I am willing to sacrifice that option for a great nights sleep.
Sleepnumber recommends you spot clean the pillow. I have been spraying it with alcohol and letting it dry. I also spot clean it if I think it needs to be.
