I had seen Nessie Ladles by Altamoss a few months ago via a kitchen accessories article from one of my favorite websites. So when I saw the promo to review them via Tomoson.com jumped at the chance. I thought they were cute and unique. So I was so excited when I was approved for the promo. I was sent a set of two as pictured above. I used the teal one yesterday while I made soup. It worked great.

I love the tag line :

Believe it or not….Nessie will pop out of your favourite soup ready to serve.

So as you can see it is a standard ladle design with a bit of twist. it offers four legs to keep it steady in a standing position and eyes to give Nessie a face at the handle tip. The ladle is large enough to serve soup or stew. The entire product is made out of food grade nylon. Altarmoss suggests you don’t leave the  Nessie unattended in a pot or near anything extremely hot. Because it may melt or burn. Also they suggest you don’t use Nessie when you use a strong colorant such as Turmeric (This is listed on the care section of the ladle info)

So I washed the teal Nessie ladle prior to it’s first use and used it to make soup.

It fit a medium sized stock pot with room to spare. It stood up well when I took my hand away.

As you can see it holds a fair amount of  soup.

All in all I am very happy with my Nessie Ladle. It’s unique and functional. It’s also cute and makes a great conversation piece. Please visit the link below for more info.
