A few weeks ago I saw a social media sponsored ad for a free sample from Aveda. I had tried Aveda products in the past and figured I’d give it a try.

The sample I was able to claim was an Aveda Nutriplenish leave-in conditioner.

I had tried an Aveda product prior to this one from the Nutriplenish line and loved it.

The product

This wasn’t a typical leave-in conditioner it’s more of a spray.

I was sent a travel-size bottle of leave-in conditioner. The product can be used on wet or dry hair.

The product is free of the following products:

  • Silicones
  • Sulfate Cleansers
  • Parabens
  • Gluten
  • Mineral Oil & Petrolatum

This can be used on all hair types.

How to use:

Shake well. Lightly mist clean, damp hair—or dry hair for added nourishment. Do not rinse. Detangle or style as usual.

For fine to medium hair, apply mid-shaft to ends only.
For thick and highly textured hair, apply from roots to ends.

User experience

I’ve used the product a few times now. It’s easy to apply to damp or dry hair. All you have to do is shake it and mist your hair.

The travel-size bottle has a nice wide spray pattern. The product has a light scent. For me, I thought it was a light citrus or watery scent.

Once I misted my hair I worked it in a bit. I liked that it didn’t leave my hair stringy or tangled.

Overall it worked well.

I will say that if you are using this with a traditional conditioner you may want to take it easy and only give your hair a light mist.

I found that if I over misted my hair was a bit too saturated and almost oily.

But as a whole, the leave-in treatment conditioner works great on damp or dry hair.

Final thoughts & Where to buy

Final thoughts

I was very happy with the Aveda Nutriplenish leave-in conditioner. It didn’t leave my hair feeling too oily or heavy. It did what it stated it would. Even though I didn’t style my hair it still did a good job at detangling it. I liked that my hair was manageable. The travel-size bottle has a nice wide spray pattern so a few sprays go a long way.

where to buy

You can purchase this product directly from Aveda or where salon-quality products are sold.

The price ranges from $13 USD to around $42 USD.
