Back in January, I shared about being sent a free sample from First Aid Beauty (FAB). The FAB sample was a new product named Ultra Repair Barriair Cream. It was a lightweight hydrating moisturizer. If I recall correctly I was able to request this via FAB’s Facebook page. Thanks to First Aid Beauty for this sample.
Product Overview
The sample size I was sent was decent. It was a small 0.34 oz size tube. The Barriair cream is stated to keep your face hydrated and moisturized. You can use it day and night for best results.
Initial Thoughts
You can see my original first impressions review video below.
I will admit now that I’ve used the product a bit more I have changed my mind slightly.
Final Thoughts
As mentioned above now that I’ve used the product a bit more I have changed my mind slightly from the initial video review. I do like that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy.
The Barriair cream is a whitish color and is whipped in it’s texture. It doesn’t have any odd scents or heavy perfumes. It doesn’t leave a white cast on your skin either. I found it worked best when applied to a damp face. I found it absorbed better and held in the moisture better.
It absorbs quickly as I shared above. It did leave a light sheen on my hand but it doesn’t leave you looking shiny.
Overall the product does do what it sets out to. However for someone like me who tends to suffer from very dry skin during the winter months I didn’t think it gave me the hydration I was hoping for. Even after I’ve used it I felt that by mid day my face felt dry again. It may have been due to weather conditions or indoor environmental factors as well.
Like with most products I think results may vary from user to user. I can say this much I’m happy I was able to try a sample first. I’ve never tried anything from First Aid Beauty so it was a nice change of pace. Even now that spring is upon us I didn’t find the Barriair cream to fully suit my needs. It does offer hydration and some protection to your skin but I felt it was lacking in moisturizing qualities. Then again I didn’t have any adverse skin reactions either so that’s a plus.
Once again this is my opinion and everyone is open to share their thoughts in the comments section. First Aid Beauty also has a similar product for your entire body. You can check that out by clicking the image below.
