I thought I’d share two scam emails that have popped up lately. There are many scams going around and I think some may have tripled. I’ve shared many in the past but I’ve noticed a rise in wire transfer or money emails again.

Most of these emails try to entice you with large sums of money as your final reward for being kind and helping someone in need.

Let’s start with the common one

We get emails every day but I’ve noticed a big rise in common money scams. As I mentioned above but some may show up in your inbox and look valid. I’ve shared about PayPal Scams in the past. This post I shared via Instagram is now different.

The email showed up in my old Yahoo account email inbox. It has all the proper PayPal logos and info. Yet the email address was from something like abcdg.com.

Also the email stated my account was restricted for some unexplained reason. When I placed my mouse cursor over the login button or the redirect button it showed a URL of chuno. Co. Th. You can report these types of emails to PayPal using the following email

Spoof@paypal.com

wire transfer scam

Wire transfer scams are very common as well. They always try to entice you with large sums of money. The one I saw yesterday is no different.

I had one from a Mr. Mark Watson. Of course the email was marked as spam in Gmail yet it may end up in someone’s inbox.

email text

the email was sent from the following email address:

because he is God fearing man.

Mr. Mark Watson

from what I can gather this scam has been going around for a few weeks or months. I also noticed that it seems to be dealing with a church since the sender or possible partner is a reverend.

I also noticed that you are asked to contact a Yahoo address from Japan. I also the +233 number is from Africa.

what you can do

For most of these emails you can report them as spam and some email services let you report them as phishing as well.

Also just be aware of them so you can share the info with others. You never know who may fall prey to these types of scams.
