I was able to request another Mele Skincare product recently from try it sampling. The Even Dark Spot Control serum is easy to use and works quickly. Mele skincare is a unique brand and can be found at Target.

the product

Even Dark Spot control serum is a dark spot corrector. This serum can be used twice daily. It offers pro-retinol and Niacinamide. It also contains Vitamin E too. It lightens the dark spots with the help of Hexylresorcinol.

The pro-retinol and the Niacinamide are different shades in the bottle. The pro-retinol is yellow while the Niacinamide is pink.

The serum can be used twice daily. You add a few drops of serum to your hand and apply to your face. The bottle has a unique dropper top. It remains closed until you open the bottle then the dropper button pops up.

User experience

I tried the dark spot control serum twice daily. I tried it on my neck because I have a few dark marks there. I liked the serum because once you shake it turns orange. The dropper is easy to use and you can apply a few drops to your hands then apply it to your face or the area you’d like to treat. The product does have a scent to it. It’s sort of floral and tropical. It’s not to heavy but it is noticeable.

it’s a light weight serum and since it also has vitamin E in it there is a light oily feel to it. It’s not anything overwhelming or too oily.

It leaves your skin looking dewy for a moment then once it absorbs it’s fine. I’ve found that it worked well with my dry skin. It didn’t cause any breakouts. I didn’t have any adverse skin reactions.

You can use it following cleansing and toning your face. Depending on your skin type you can also use it with a moisturizer. I’ve used it with and without an added moisturizer. I thought the product is hydrating but a moisturizer may be needed.

Overall I liked that it was light weight and a few drops go a long way.

I would like to say since the product does have a pro-retinol in it you may want to use a sunscreen if you will be outdoors for a long period of time.

final thoughts

The Even Dark Spot Control serum fits my needs. As I mentioned results may vary from user to user. I think i began to see results within the first week of use. I’ve been using it twice a day. I liked that formula was lightweight and not oily.

I think the product worked well with my skin tone and helped even my dark marks.

Overall it fit my needs and did what it stated it would.

Mele Skincare Even Dark Spot Control Serum retails for $23.99 USD at Target.
