Are you looking for a new griddle? if so you may like this one by Greenlife. The Healthy Griddle XL is a great addition to any kitchen.
I’ve had it for a while but hadn’t had a chance to use it. Well, Memorial Day was the perfect chance for me to use this. The griddle was from Try It Sampling.
who is Greenlife?
I’d never heard of GreenLife before requesting this griddle.
According to the brand’s About Us Page, they offer non-stick cookware that is free of PFAS, PFOA, or other chemicals that may release toxins.
They offer a variety of cookware in different styles and colors.
The product
The GreenLife Healthy Griddle XL is a nice size. It includes everything you need in the box. The griddle, instruction manual, and power cord.
The instruction booklet shares product usage instructions as well as product care tips.
The griddle isn’t dishwasher safe. I would suggest washing it before its initial use. You can also coat the Griddle in a high smoke point oil or butter.
how to assemble the griddle
It’s easy to put together it includes the heat probe/ electric cord.
It also includes a drip tray that is already set in place.
The drip tray slides into place. It’s easy to remove for easy cleaning.
Griddle specs and heat settings
The griddle is 10.5 inches by 20 inches. It has 4 sturdy feet that offer non-skid pads. The heating settings are Off, Low, Medium, and High. The heating probe offers a heat indicator light when the griddle warms up. Once it hits the proper temperature the light goes off.
Let’s get cooking
Prior to using the griddle, I cleaned it off with some soap and water. I tried it and applied a thin layer of grape seed oil using a paper towel. I plugged the griddle in and turned the heat setting knob to medium-high.
The indicator light turned on. As the griddle was warming I placed my food on it. I made plant-based burgers.
The griddle heats evenly and quickly. I liked that the handles stay cool so if you need to move the griddle during use you won’t burn your hands.

Since the griddle is ceramic/aluminum non-stick you will want to use a non-metal spatula. So a heat-resistant plastic one or wooden one. Or even a silicone one may work.
Aside from the burgers, I made a few other things on the griddle I made hot dogs, grilled some onions, and warmed up hotdog and hamburger buns.
Everything I cooked on the griddle cooked evenly. I liked that the griddle turns off the heating element once it reaches the desired heat setting. The griddle maintains its heat well.
The drip tray is located in the perfect spot to collect any oils or juices that are expelled during cooking.
I will say if your like me and aren’t used to using a griddle there may be a slight learning curve to removing food from it or flipping it. But I didn’t find any major issues with it.
Easy Cleanup
The griddle is easy to clean. This may vary depending on the food that was prepared. I unplugged the griddle and let it cook before cleaning. You can unplug the heating probe and rinse the griddle. I wiped mine clean. I wiped any food scraps into the drip tray. Then I threw that away and rinsed the drip tray. It dries well.
a few things to note
the heat settings knob
I will add that the heat settings knob is easy to use but this can also be a bit of an issue. Why you may ask? It’s because it’s so easy to turn. When I initially set up the griddle and plugged it in the knob was set to medium so it began to heat up. So this will need to be checked before plugging the griddle in to avoid any burns.
The drip tray
Being that the drip tray is plastic granted it’s high quality it’s still plastic. You may want to take care when cooking foods that may have a high oil expulsion such as bacon or sausages.
The cord
The cord may be a bit short for some users. This may depend on where you have your outlet. I found it was a good length for my countertop. I was far enough away from the wall and close enough to the edge of the counter.

Final thoughts
Overall the GreenLife Healthy Griddle XL would be a good addition to any kitten. If you have the storage space that is. The griddle heated up quickly and evenly. I liked the stay-cool handles. It cools down quickly too. I really couldn’t find any major cons with it.
Where to buy
You can purchase the griddle directly from GreenLife or other retailers. At GreenLife it retails for $65 USD. Other retailers may have it for cheaper.
I also found it at Amazon. The griddle is sold in a few colors aside from black.
