Last summer I was notified that I’d won a prize thanks to the Julep Ambassador community. I was very excited by the $150 gift card win. I knew I would put it to good use. I’d purchased a few Julep Beauty products in the past and was interested in trying their skincare items.

You can see my prior purchases below

This was what my entire order looked like. I was so happy I went over but only paid less than $11 for everything in the box.

As you can see from the videos above I’d used their eyeliner and nail polish but never their skincare products. So the gift card win allowed me to try out their skincare.

Product overview

The Julep Boost Your Radiance Anti Pollution Daily Moisturizer is a nice size jar. It is 1.7 fl oz. The jar is plastic and has an insert that holds the cream. The insert isn’t removable.

User Experience

I will admit it took me a few weeks to start using the moisturizer. I was finishing up products I already had. So I think I started to use this during the holidays or maybe October of 2019.

The cream itself is a bit thick but still lightweight. It absorbs quickly into your skin and can be used with other skincare products. I didn’t have any adverse reactions or redness. I added facial oil to it for added moisture on drier days and found it helped.

The moisturizer is a yellowish color. It blends into the skin well and didn’t leave my face looking shiny or feeling sticky. Sorry for not taking pictures of the product sooner. The thought didn’t cross my mind.

I found the product to be hydrating and moisturizing to my dry winter skin. I didn’t feel like it left a barrier on my face either. I liked that it worked well with my existing skincare products as well. I didn’t notice it beaking up when I added a few drops of facial oil to it.

It’s creamy and hydrating to the skin without feeling oily either. I found that my moisturizer had a bit of a scent to it. It smelled of calendula oil. But now that I’m looking at the ingredient list that may be the sunflower oil that’s used in the cream.

Final thoughts

Overall I liked the Julep Boost Your Radiance Anti Pollution Daily Moisturizer I’d be willing to buy it again. As far as the pollution protection goes. I’m not sure what if anything this claim does. I can say it did moisturize my face well and keep my skin hydrated during the day.

I liked the overall creamy consistency and how it worked well with my existing skincare routine. It’s currently priced at $22.00 (USD) I found that a small amount can go a long way so it may be worth another purchase.
