I spent a fair amount of time today trying to find a way to create a more professional contact us page. Granted I haven’t had anyone contact me so far but it’s the thought that counts, right?
Well after spending countless minutes clicking away at a few sites and trying to configure other forms I happened to stumble upon JotForm.
Well, let me tell you this was exactly what I was looking for. Frist, off it’s free to up. Here’s a screenshot of the pricing info.
Pricing
For me, the Starter plan is perfect because it offers 5 forms to start along with 100 submissions.
Creating a Form
Getting back to the contact us for I created for a second. You can use a template and customize it to your needs or you can create your own. I created my own because it’s simple and easy.
Here’s another print screen to show you the finished form. JotForm offers a very easy to use drag and drop feature. You just pick and choose what you would like your form to include. They have options from basic headers, name, email to more advanced things like drop-down lists. They also offer star ratings, image uploading tools, and page elements as well.
In this drag and drop section, you can also add widgets to many sites and often used products. You can also add payment info as well. During your building session, you can arrange the form to your liking before previewing it.
Settings
Moving on to the settings section this allows you to further edit your form. What i mean by that is naming your form and adding any other elements you like such as changing the Thank You pop up when someone submits the form you create. In this case, I left everything as it was for now. I did name my form as you can see.
Publishing your Form
Once you’ve completed the form you can publish it sing various methods.
When you finish you can share your link socially or you can embed it into a site. You can also lightbox it, have it be a pop-up or use iframe or even use a feedback button.
JotForm also allows you to integrate your new form to many popular websites as well. They offer WordPress (Both .com and .org), Tumblr, Blogger, Shopify along with many others.
Other Features
Themes
While I was exploring a little more about JotForm I found they offer a lot of other great features. They also have themes and plugins you can use.
The themes can be used for a variety of forms. Some are free and others you may have to pay for.
As you can see the themes are clearly marked with an orange Free and a green price for the ones that are fee-based.
Plugins
Apps
JotForm also allows you to use plugins. That’s great if you want to integrate a few sites you use with this account. You can link Mailchimp, WordPress, Paypal or Google drive to name a few.
On the upside, I was able to download the JotForm Chrome extension for my browser. I will find that helpful.
Widgets
The widgets are similar to the ones you can use when creating a form. You can add Youtube, Soundcloud, Facebook like and many others.
I will have to do a little more exploring into these two sections but it’s nice to now that JotForm has all these great plugin options.
