Jake is a funny cat and at times just outright awkward. But for all of his funny quirks and fears I love him. Only he could get stuck in my neighbors tree last year for a day or more during windy conditions and expect us to magically save him. Only he would befriend two ceramic ducks when he was kitten because my other cats didn’t feel like playing with him. He would run up to his duck “friends” lick their beaks and run off again. Out of my four cats he has been the most fearful yet he was also the most brazen. He learned how to climb out of his enclosure we made him and would jump from the top spreading his little legs like a flying squirrel land on the floor and run. He never quite knew where he was running to but he ran. So in these five years he’s added a lot of joy and sometimes frustration into my life. Any pet owner can relate but I wouldn’t change it for anything.
