I thought I’d give you guys some info on an experience I had recently. I was threatened with a lawsuit. A brand wasn’t happy with something i posted on my blog. To be honest I think i was still in my right to post the information. to make a long story short an Instagram marketing company claimed I was defaming them. All I did was share a simple post on my blog about how I thought the site could possibly be a scam. Well, i had a long back and forth with the brand until I removed my post. So these are things we need to know as content creators no matter what you share you may be up against possible lawsuits or being intimidated by a company because they don’t like what has been shared. You can also check your state laws to see what they protect you against. Also, contact your local small business association if your blog is your business and see if they can help.

Another site i found was the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
