I happened to catch a free sample ad via Instagram recently. Biotene was giving away a few samples of their dry mouth oralbalance moisturizing gel. I figured I’d give it a try. i have dry mouth once in a while.
The product
Well my samples arrived. I was sent a total of 4 sample packs along with a $1 off coupon.
Biotene states the product adds moisture to the mouth. It may last up to 4 hours. The gel is alcohol, sugar and flavor free.
You add a half an inch of gel to your tongue and knead it around your mouth. You can use it as needed.

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Sodium Hydroxide
User experience
Overall the sample packets may provide one or two uses depending on how much you use. I didn’t think it had a flavor to it. It’s a clear gel and dissolves quickly in the mouth.
For the packet I just tried I did feel that the product had a bit of a flavor to it. It wasn’t harsh but there was one. Again this may vary from product to product and temperature changes that happen during shipping.
Being that it’s a warm day today (date of delivery) that may have been the reason why i noted a flavor. Aside from that it seems to work as stated.
I think the packets are a great idea so you can keep one with you when you are on the go. Or keep a few at work.
The gel isn’t too thick or too runny. It also isn’t sticky in anyway. It coated the inside of my mouth well and I don’t have any adverse reactions.
Final thoughts
This would be something to look into if you do have dry mouth. I think these will come in handy on days where I create videos. I talk so much that I have extreme dry mouth.
