I thought I’d share some of my final thoughts on the complementary products I was sent on behalf of Influenster and the following brands: Olly Nutrition, Essie, Not Your Mother’s Naturals, and Minute. You can see my original unboxing video here.

Olly Super Foods Smoothie

I don’t usually use smoothie powders but since I was sent one I figured I’d try it. it was very flavorful and wasn’t too sweet. I found that it tasted like blueberry. I liked how the smoothie powder blended well and didn’t seem to bind or turn into clumps. Depending on the size of glass you pour it in you may have one to two servings. All in all, i think I would be willing to try this product again.

Minute® Ready to Serve Organic Red Quinoa & Brown Rice with Garlic

I found this to be a great snack or even an addition to your usual dinner recipe. Sorry I didn’t take photos I forgot. The cup it comes in is a serving for one person or two depending on how hungry you are. The rice and quinoa were very flavorful and it didn’t turn hard after I cooked it. you pop the plastic container in the microwave for 90 seconds on high. I opted to cook it for 30 seconds at a time since microwaves vary. I will say the garlic flavor is very strong but it fades as you mix it. I purchased another two packages recently so I can have them on hand when I’d like a snack or when I don’t want to make a bunch of rice just for myself. The only con I found with this product is that it’s high in sodium so you may have to take that into consideration.

Not Your Mother’s Naturals Weightless Mousse

This was the first time I’ve ever used a Not Your Mother’s Natural product. I can say that it seemed to work well. I applied the Blue Sea Kale & Pure Coconut Water weightless mousse (talk about a long name) to damp hair. It smoothed over my hair well and after it dried it didn’t leave any white streaks or white flakes in my hair. I noticed that even as I was working into my hands it was starting to dissolve. The product had a nice scent to it. It’s tropical in nature due to the coconut water. I didn’t think it left my hair feeling sticky or hard which was nice. When I washed my hair later that day the mousse didn’t leave any residue either so it rinsed out clean. All in all, I was happy with it.

Essie Nail Polish and Top Coat

Once again this was a first-time use for me. I don’t buy a lot of nail polish because half the time I forget to use it and end up throwing it away. So I figured this would be fun since you can’t beat free right? Well, I will say the color wasn’t one that I would have picked out for myself. Was very surprised by how well the polish held up.  I found it to be a bit thinner than my usual brand so I applied two coats. The color is named Closing night. it is a bit on the grey side. I found that the top coat did a great job of extending the polishes longevity. It gave my nails a nice sheen. I can say this product test convinced me to try more Essie products.

Final Thoughts

I can say like with many Influenster vox boxes you have a mix of items you may use more than others. I enjoy trying the food sample along with everything else in this vox box. So thanks to Influenster along with Olly Nutrition, Essie, Not Your Mother’s Naturals, and Minute for allowing me to share and review these products.
