So a few months back I shared about an Olay sample I was sent. It was one of their newer products. The foaming whip body wash was a unique product. I have tried another product last year. You can check out that video post here.
Like with my skincare routine I like to switch up my body care products as well. I like the ease of use for body wash. I also find some can help stave off my dry skin during certain months of the year. For this post, I thought I’d share my insights on what I felt the pros and cons were of this product.
Overall the sample was a nice size. You can check out my original video review below.
Product overview
This Olay product was a new form of body wash. It was more of a foam. When I first tried it I pressed the button and out came a large glob of foam. I found that it was a thicker foam. It reminded me almost of mousse. It was lightweight yet had some shape to it. The scent I requested was Shea butter. It had a light fragrance but nothing too overwhelming.
I liked that the body wash foam clung to the skin but didn’t leave a film on my skin. It also didn’t dry out my skin either. It did leave my skin feeling hydrated, nourished and clean.
User Experience
I think I was sent this product back in April. Like with most products as I mentioned above I like to rotate them. So I used this one for a while then switched to another one. The metal can didn’t rust which was a plus. Since this sample would have been considered a travel-size sample. I was surprised at how full it was.
What I mean by this is that I knew it would be full but even with periodic uses, I found one to two presses of the dispenser button gave me enough body wash to use on my whole body. Since it was the whipped formula it applied well to the skin. The scent was very noticeable when you apply it to the skin but soon fades. As I shared in the prior section it rinsed well and didn’t leave my skin feeling dry. There also wasn’t any additional reactions or feeling greasy or oily.

All in all the Olay Foaming Whip Body Wash did a good job. I felt that it was effective at cleansing my skin. I also found it made a great shaving gel too. I didn’t have any reactions or sensitivities to the product. The scent was pleasant to me. The whipped formula was very luxurious. It was a brand apart from the standard liquid or cream body washes.
The can didn’t rust as i stated before. I still suggest you keep it out of standing water. The push-button dispenser button is easy to use even with wet hands. The nozzle is also easy to use. You just glide it along your hand as you dispense the product. The quality of the whipped foam was thick but still spreadable. Once I reached the end of the can it did start to get a bit watery but it still worked.
So my final thoughts on the product were that I liked it. It was very unique in its design. The body wash fit my needs and the scent was nice. The thickness of the foam was different and allowed you to use less I thought.
