A few weeks ago I shared a post on Instagram. I thanked Derma-E for the haircare they had gifted me. You can also read my original post here.

The products

The thickening shampoo and conditioner is stated to help give your hair volume. It does have spearmint oil and may help hair growth.

the shampoo is a golden shade and the conditioner is a bit thick.

I will admit since the shampoo has a mint oil in it your hair may have a reaction to the product. That being said it may feel a bit dry or it may not. Everyone’s hair is different. I’ll also note that the mint oil does give your scalp a nice tingle.

my results

Everyone’s results will vary. Mine weren’t too bad. I noticed that as I used the products may hair started to adjust to it. At first it did feel a bit dry because i had left the shampoo on a bit too long. I may have used too much.

Yet I found the conditioner to be very creamy and thick. It clings to the hair with out weighing it down.

Did it thicken my hair

I’m not going to lie since I don’t have thin or limp hair I can’t say I noticed a volume boost. I also can’t attest to it’s possible hair growth statement either. I haven’t had a haircut in months so my hair has grown naturally.

I would think the thickening of your hair may vary by hair type. As I mentioned I don’t have fine or thin hair. So for me my hair looked about the same.

What the products did for me

Overall i thought the Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner did a good job at cleansing and hydrating my hair. Once again everyone’s results may vary.

I liked the mint scent. It wasn’t too overwhelming or too harsh. It did give my scalp a nice tingle. I also thought that the products worked well with my hair type. I didn’t feel like it stripped my hair or left it feeling flat or heavy.

You can find these products at Derma-E, Ulta and Target. They retails for around $9.99 USD. Prices may vary by retailer.

Thanks again to Derma-E for gifting me these products and the reviewing opportunity.
