I was able to request a sample of a Dove dry spray deodorant recently. I’d tried another brand’s dry deodorant in the past and I liked it. It’s convenient and doesn’t leave white marks on your clothes. It also works well right now for the summer months.
This dove sample states that it can help keep you dry for up to 48 hours. I will admit that’s not something I believe but the product did seem to fit my needs.
The product
I was able to request a fee sample deodorant. I can’t recall if it was fro Top Box or Unilever. I opted for the Dove sample. well the sample arrived fairly quickly.
I was sent a travel-size sample. the container is 1oz. This was the Cool Essentials scent. Basically it’s light and airy and has cucumber notes to it. There are a few different scents in the product as well.
The dry spray deodorant is a decent size and has a nice spray pattern.
The product is very straight forward and easy to user. You just shake the can and spray your under arms. You should hold the can a few inches away from your skin. The exact distance is 6 inches from your skin.

User expereince
Overall I like the product. I’ve been using it over the past few days to a week. I like that the product is easy to use. it doesn’t stain your clothing. I didn’t have any adverse reactions.
The spray is clear when applied. You shake the can before applying the product. Since the photo was the first test spray it looks a bit oily. But once you shake the can the product seems to thicken a bit.
As far as the wetness and odor protection goes I think it did a decent job. I will admit I’ve been testing it on days that are over 90 degrees F. So sometimes it works better then others. the scent is nice. It’s light and airy. You notice it if you lift your arm. As the product warms it doesn’t give off any type of odd body odor. You just notice the light scent. Even if i do have some wetness I don’t have any kind of awful BO with cucumber scent happening.
I can’t really say if it really does protect you for up to 48 hours. Yet it seemed to work well for me. I like this because since it’s summer I tend to wear sleeveless tops so I don’t end up with white marks on my clothing. I also like that it’s quick to apply. You can apply it after you are dressed with out fear of your clothes being spotted.
I will admit since this is a spray you may have a bit of a cloud in your bathroom depending on how much you apply.
final thoughts
Overall i liked the product. Dove did a good job with the dry spray option. The travel size would be great to carry with you in a bag or even if your interested in trying a dry deodorant spray. I was able to find it at Target for $2 USD.
Now for the full-size product (price may vary), I found it via Amazon and Target.
The single full-size dry spray can is $5.99 USD (Target)
Amazon has it for $5.49 USD.
