I was gifted this product late last year from Derma-E. I began using it recently. I liked the texture and the gel formulation.
Product overview
Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster is stated to help balance your skin moisture and help hydrate it as well. It has a few key ingredients such as Alkaline water, Hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin B5.
You can apply it alone or with a moisturizer. You can also apply it twice daily.
Ingredients (source Derma-E product page)
Purified Water, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium PCA, Polysorbate 20, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-11, Cellulose Gum, Copper PCA, Superoxide Dismutase, Sodium Bicarbonate, Natural Fragrances Oil, Panthenol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ergothioneine, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-28.
User Experience
Overall the Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster is very easy to apply. The bottle comes with a dropper that makes for easy dispensing.
It’s a clear gel serum. It applies well. A few drops will go a long way due to its formulation.
I applied a bit to the back of my hand so you can see what it looks like on the skin. It doesn’t leave you looking too shiny or feel too sticky or tacky. This may vary however from user to user along with how much you apply.
The Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster absorbs evenly into the skin and didn’t seem like it left any film on my hand or even my face when I’ve applied it.
Since I’ve only used the product twice so far (2/27/2020) I think it’s working well with my skin. Since I have dry skin I can take all the hydration i can get. I did notice that when I woke up this morning my face didn’t feel dry.
Final thoughts
Overall since I’ve only used the Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster twice I will keep using it until it’s finished. I like the gel formulation. It didn’t seem to congeal on the skin or in the bottle. I tried it with other skincare products such as Derma-E Anti-Wrinkle treatment oil last night and Derma-E Advanced Peptide & Collagen Moisturizer this morning.
The Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster retails for $21.50. It can be found a Derma-E along with Ulta.
Thanks again to Derma-E for gifting me this product and the reviewing opportunity.
