Derma-E Radiant Glow face oil: Nourish your skin with a slight shimmer

A few weeks back I was sent a PR box courtesy of Derma-E. It was a collaboration project with Ulta stores and select Social Influencers. This Radiant Glow Face Oil happened to be a collaboration with Alba.

Now that I have all that out of the way let’s get to the product itself shall we.

Product overview

The product itself is a very lightweight facial oil. it has a touch of shimmer thanks to the mica that is added to it. I found out that it can also be used on the body or hair too. A few drops will do. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your face feeling oily or greasy. You can also add it to your favorite moisturizer as well. I didn’t find the slight shimmer to be overpowering nor do you look like you have glitter on your face.

The main ingredients in the face oil are Jojoba, Argan and Sea Buckthorn oils. The oil has an unique scent. It’s slightly floral yet there’s another scent I can’t put my finger on. You will need to shake the bottle prior to every use so the mica doesn’t settle on the bottom.

My user experience

I will admit when the product first arrived I used it occasionally. I was trying to use items a I needed to finish using. Well I finally got around to finishing the first bottle recently. I was sent a second bottle in another PR box a few weeks back.

Now that I finished the product I can say it is very soothing to the skin. You may have to find ways to add it to your general skincare routine. I used it alone or in combination with my usual moisturizer. It’s even a good base for before applying primer to your face. You will however want to make sure your face is dry before applying your makeup.

As you can see from the photos above the face oil isn’t very shiny in the sunlight. It does leave your skin feeling smooth and softer.

Final thoughts

Overall I was happy with the product. it did help sooth my dry skin over the past few weeks. I will use the second bottle I was sent. I think i might try to add it to my existing moisturizer to see what effect it will have. I liked that you can use this product with your existing skincare products. I didn’t have any adverse reactions or skin issue.

This is also a great product to use if you tend to have dry patches of skin like I do. You can use it when needed. It offers a nice hydrating layer to your skin.

My first bottle is empty for the exception of the mica that settled to the bottom. I does add a nice golden shimmer to the bottle. I forgot to mention above that the bottle and dropper are glass so you will need to take care not to drop it. I will admit it took a few trips to the floor and didn’t break but still just as an FYI.

On a side note during my photo shoot Sophie opted to join in. She wanted to have radiant skin too.
