Derma-E Hydrating Facial Alkaline Cloud Cleanser

As we know I love all things Derma-E. Well, this Hydrating Facial Alkaline Cloud Cleanser worked wonders for my dry skin.

the product

I was gifted this product back in the summer of 2021. I took a bit to use it but here’s my original Instagram post.

The cleanser is a liquid that turns into foam when you use the pump top. The bottle is 5.3 fl oz.

I had tried a few foam cleansers in the past and liked them. I figured this would be no different.

The cleanser can be used twice daily. I found that it didn’t dry out my skin.

Purified Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Sodium Bicarbonate, Disodium 2-Sulfolaurate, Potassium Hydroxide, Polysorbate 20, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Natural Fragrance Oils. 

User expereince

Overall the product is very lightweight. The pump top is easy to use and dispenses a nice size mound of cleansing foam.

Applying the foam to your face is easy. i usually splash my face with water prior to adding the cleanser. The foam is light and tends to spread evenly over the skin. It also tends to break up quickly.

I found it breaks down makeup well. Even daily oils are cleansed. The cleanser is gentle on the skin and didn’t leave my face feeling dry.

Since I have dry skin I tend to find products that help leave some moisture in my skin. The cleanser can be rinsed off with warm water.

The cleanser rinses clean off my face. I don’t feel like I have any residue on my skin. I also liked that it didn’t strip my skin or leave my face feeling tight or rough.

final thoughts

Overall the Hydrating Facial Alkaline Cloud Cleanser is hydrating to the skin and gentle. I liked that it didn’t leave any real residue on my face. If you will be using this to remove makeup or other skincare products such as mineral sunscreens you may need to double cleanse with another cleansing product to remove the skincare or makeup fully.

I liked the easy-to-use pump top. I also liked that it’s a foam so all you need to do is splash your face with water and apply the cleanser. You can work it into your skin but since it’s already lathered you save a step.
