I was able to select a new Degree product thanks to Try It Sampling. Well as we know deodorants are always something worth trying. This one caught my attention because it was aluminum free.

Being trying to find more green products I figured this was worth testing.

The Product

Degree 0% Aluminum Odor Protect Revitalizing Deodorant is sold in a few different scents. I tried the Uplifting citrus scent. The product is a solid stick. It’s opaque in color.

  • Degree Uplifiting Citrus aluminum free deoderant.
  • Degree Uplifting Citrus aluminum free deodorant. with lid removed.
  • Degree Uplifting Citrus aluminum-free deodorant. with the lid removed. deodorant stick exposed.

Overall I liked that it has 0% aluminum. There has always been pros and cons on that subject when it comes to deodorant use.

You can apply the deodorant as needed. it does state that it may give you 48 hours of order protection. That’s a label claim not my own.

User experience

Being that I’ve tried a few different deodorants in the past that are aluminum-free. I had an idea of what to expect. I don’t think I’ve ever had any real luck with any natural or aluminum-free deodorant. Yet again everyone is different. So my experience may differ from other users.

The deodorant glides onto the skin evenly and doesn’t leave any white marks. It almost melts into the skin.

I liked the citrus scent. It was light and not too powerful. I used it during warm weather and it was okay.

What I mean by okay is it worked as expected. It didn’t really do much to keep me dry. I don’t know if I didn’t apply enough or I needed to reapply it. I can say this much you don’t smell like a fruit salad even if you are sweating which was nice.

I can say that when I did reapply the deodorant it did help for a short time.

This product may just work better for someone else. Yet as with any new product it may take time for your body to adjust to it.

With that being said I still liked the product quality. I didn’t have any skin irritation or burning. I also didn’t have any white marks on my clothing. As I said the product seems to melt into the skin.

Final thoughts

I’ll keep using the Degree 0% Aluminum Odor Protect Revitalizing Deodorant. I may just need to adjust to the product. It did keep me dry to a point but I felt I needed to reapply during very hot days. Or if I was in a hot environment.

As for the 48 hour odor protection claim. It didn’t hold up for me but everyone is different. I didn’t smell bad but i still noticed a slight odor.
