I was recently sent three free sample packs of Dashing Diva MAGIC PRESS Press-On manicure and pedicure products on behalf of the Glimmer community, Sally Beauty Supply and of course Dashing Diva I haven’t used press-on nails in years. I figured it would be fun to try.

The Products

The three packs were the following:

Graphic Detail, Romancing the Stone, and Neon Glow All of the packs have everything you need in them to apply the nails. They include a manicure stick, a small file pad and an alcohol wipe along with instructions on how to apply the nails. The application process is very simple and easy. You push back your cuticles along with washing your hands. You can wipe your nails down with the alcohol wipe prior to application.

Here’s a list of ingredients

ABS Plastic, Polyacrylic Acid, Ethylhexyl Acrylate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Water/Eau

The nails themselves are flexible yet sturdy. If the accent nail has rhinestones they stay in place as well.

Application process

Here’s a video I found that shows the quick process.

The trickiest part of the application is lining up the nail along with sizing it correctly. The packs offer 30 nails in total (including accent nails). Dashing Diva suggests you apply the thumbnail last. The nails have a plastic tab that is over the adhesive backing.

Once you find the correct size and line them up you can start to apply the nails. The application is very easy. The adhesive adheres quickly to your nail and can be wiggled to straighten it a bit. You will need to press from the center outward to get a stronger bond. You will also need to keep your hands dry for an hour after application.

The Results

I applied the Graphic Detail nails earlier this week. So far so good they are staying in place and look nice. I liked the option of the black or white nail with the white line. I also liked the accent nails that were included in the set. I opted to go for the black with the white line and the accent nail.

This is a photo of the nails the night I applied them.

I was happy to see they even matched a dress I have.

From what I’ve read on the Dashing Diva nail package the nails will last up to 7 days. Wear time may vary. The removal process seems easy enough as well. you can use the manicure stick to lift the nail up at the edges and apply a small amount of nail polish remover. Then let it sit for a few seconds to a minute and remove the nail. At this time I’m still unsure if Dashing Diva nails are reusable. I have contacted them and will add an update when I have a reply back.

Update: 7/5/2018 I had a reply back from Dashing Diva and they stated that the nails are one time use only. Since the set offers 30 nails you will have two uses out of each manicure set.

Final Thoughts

The thing I did like about Dashing Diva MAGIC press-on nails is that they are quick and easy to apply. They are flexible and can be filed to a desired size. The accent nails in the manicure packs are well made. The rhinestone accents seem to be glued firmly to the nail. The overall feel, once the nails are applied, is natural. They aren’t like the old acrylic nails where you felt like you had caps on your fingers. That’s how I felt anyway. Dashing Diva nails save you time on having to go into the salon for a manicure. It also costs less too. They offer a variety of color and design options. They also have pedicure sets as well. They are worth a try if you’re interested visit the links within the post for more information. All in all, I liked them and they fit my needs.
